New London Tubemap

The new London Tubemap is available as a B1 poster covering the whole London Underground system and also including the Croydon Tramlink and Heathrow Express services.

The inclusion of the London Overground and Dockland Light Railway lines means the whole system is less focused on the Circle Line loop.
The relative positions of the stations in the central area means that 30º and 60º are a more natural choice to base the grid structure on rather than the 45º lines of the official version.
By making the stations more geographically-accurate in relation to each other, the map becomes easier to relate to London at street level.
The station markers are designed to help users understand the complexity of the interchanges at each station.
The website www.london-tubemap.com has a series of layers that allow the user to access different information. The step-free access layer works by removing stations without access.
The journey times layer adds approximate journey times in minutes to allow the user to estimate travel times.
The walking routes layer shows alternative street-level connections between stations where your journey would be quicker on foot than it would be using the underground system.
The new London Tubemap works well at the same size as the standard London Underground picket-sized guide.
The new London Tubemap has been used for several applications including in the Analogue Guide to London available from their website.
